"Get Drunk and Be Somebody" was the first single from Toby Keith's 2006 album White Trash with Money. It was also his debut single from his newly formed record label, Show Dog Nashville. It peaked at number 3 on the country singles charts.
This song is a typical working man's anthem. In contrast to a mundane day job where you're the "Low man on the Totem Pole", It talks about becoming a different person when your drunk on Friday night after payday.
The live music video was directed by Michael Salomon and premiered on February 15, 2006. GAC cut the ending of the video out, because of its suggestive language. It is a live performance clip. It was filmed at a concert in Portland, Oregon.
"Get Drunk and Be Somebody" debuted at #32 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks.
